Brinton Vision is a dynamic, privately owned, single location, specialty refractive surgery practice located in the beautiful suburb of Creve Coeur, Missouri. We are currently a three doctor practice and, due to growth, are now offering a fourth doctor position with a start date in early 2023.

Brinton Vision is the only office in the state of Missouri to offer all seven forms of modern vision correction surgery. Our office is fully equipped with the newest technology, 12 full examination lanes, and an in-office laser and lens implant surgical suite. Brinton Vision’s patient base consists of patients age 15 and up; we do not see pediatric patients. Our clinic staff consists of 12 medical technicians so that the two or three doctors in the clinic on a particular day will have four technicians each supporting their patient schedule to complete diagnostic testing, refract and scribe.

Our optometrists see complete exams for new patients as well as provide postoperative care. Medical technicians perform diagnostic testing, workup, refractions, and scribing for these patients. One of the most challenging but also enjoyable aspects of the optometrist’s work comes in seeing new refractive patients. After assessing eye health, our doctors incorporate testing results and patient vision goals to determine whether a patient is a candidate, which of seven modern refractive procedures can best help them meet their vision goals.

We have many avenues available to help educate pre-MD and pre-OD students in a clinical setting. Our goal is to build a team that feels like family and works very well together! Our ideal candidate is someone who is friendly, loves to learn, confident, has a sense of humor and is passionate about providing the highest quality to our patients.  Our doctors have significant say in their work environment and want someone who is interested in helping our practice become the best it can be.

Morgan R. Poore, OD

From pre-treatment testing to post-operative check-ups, Dr. Poore’s talents and skill are part of the comprehensive, world-class care Brinton Vision clients have come to expect.

Taylor J. Schmidt, OD

Dr. Taylor Schmidt is one of our on-staff optometrists. She graduated magna cum laude from Iowa State University in Biochemistry, a university where her brother and four cousins also attended. It was during this time that Dr. Schmidt worked part time at a local optical store and got her first real experience with optometry as a career.

Brinton Vision is an approved site for FDA clinical research, and Brinton Vision actively participates in Phase III FDA clinical trials that lead to the next generation of lasers and lens implants. Being a clinical research site means having a significant amount of oversight and supervision to ensure that Brinton Vision meet the highest clinic and surgical standards. Only a small number of LASIK surgery facilities in the US are FDA clinical research sites and go through this scrutiny. We are also a cash-only operation. Our doctors practice without the restrictions of insurance. We have extra time with our patients rather than spending a significant chunk of each day in coding and billing.
